SAQA FIERCE PLANETS - Laurie Fagen’s art quilt “Sun with Mercury” is one of 42 pieces juried into the “Fierce Planets” show for Studio Art Quilt Associates (SAQA), an international organization of art quilters. The show premiered at the Louisiana State University Museum and will travel until 2028. Fagen's image is a photo from an original painting by the late artist Bonnie Lou Coleman, digitally transferred to fabric and heavily thread-painted with metallic and rayon threads. 

A ninth exhibit has been added! This exhibition will travel until end of 2027

FIBER ART EXHIBIT IN PHOENIX - Three Fagen Designs pieces have been accepted in the “Ruins, Relics and Rituals” show by the Fiber Arts Center AZ opening May 1 at the Olney Gallery at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, 100 West Roosevelt Street, Phoenix Arizona 85003. An opening reception, free and open to the public with light refreshments, is on First Friday Fri., May 1 from 6-9 p.m. On display through June 2026. The Olney Gallery is open to the public during Cathedral office hours: Tuesday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and parking is available at a garage north of the gallery.

It's the story in fabric, beads and quilting of her journey following the passing of her husband, Geoff Hancock, eight years ago.
